Re-branding of KMT

The KMT board and top management has decided all our entities should be re-branded KMT, which means a new Visual Identity Program will be implemented throughout the Group. The new identity will be launched in the first week of September.

The practical consequences of the new identity program is that letterhead, business cards, brochures, etc. will be redone and include the KMT logotype. This also applies to signage, products and vehicles, etc. All the legal names will include KMT, e.g. Lidköping Machine Tools AB will become KMT Lidköping AB. On our products, the KMT logotype will be applied, together with the product name in plain text. However, some product name logotypes will remain unchanged. Our ambition is also to unify the colors on all our machines.

Why are we going through all this re-branding work?

Why is the focus on one single brand necessary?

1. Focus on a single brand will help to improve Group synergies.

Having one brand will help the cooperation between our companies and remove barriers. One brand also allows us to reduce administration, marketing, communication, and other duplicative costs involved in the maintenance of multiple brands, or even one main brand with sub-brands.

2. It shows customers that KMT is a reliable business partner.

Size also means stability. When customers work with KMT, they will know that they are dealing with a large, experienced business partner whose long-term interests parallel their own.

3. We want to attract and retain the best.

Curious, intelligent people want interesting jobs in an organization that offers many opportunities for both personal and professional growth. A single KMT identity helps the Group attract and retain the best in their fields.

Other branding related activities

In conjunction with the re-branding work, we are also developing a completely new web presence to be launched end August, as well as a small booklet called “Moving Forward – The KMT Way”. This booklet outlines our vision, strategy, and goals and it will be handed out to each of you in conjunction with presentations on the subject to all our employees at the end of August or early September.
