History
UVA delivered its first internal grinding machine to the Swedish bearing manufacturer SKF in 1943. The U55 range of grinders were introduced in the mid 1950-ies and sold in large numbers until 1980 when the new modular U80 machine program, with UVATRONIC CNC control was introduced.
In the mid 1960-ies UVA developed the specialized grinding process and adapted U55 for grinding bore and seat in diesel injection nozzles in continuous production. Since then UVA has worked in close cooperation with the major suppliers of fuel systems to meet their production needs. UVA has been the leading supplier of internal grinders for fuel injection components for several decades.
