1928

The company was founded in Stockholm under the name Nomy AB. The product was a new type of journal bearing.

1931

The company moved to Bromma and changed its name to UVA.

1943

The first internal grinder was delivered; the customer was SKF.

1965

UVA delivers the first specialized nozzle grinder.

1979

UVA introduces the U80 modular machine program with UVATRONIC I.

1989

UVA delivers UVATRONIC II with digital servos, new control panel (flat screen), menu programming, more powerful CPU etc.

2002

UVA introduces Nomyline, a development of the flexible UVA modular machine concept.

2005

UVA presents UVATRONIC III and KMT presents the Nano Grinder. Today UVA has delivered over 1000 CNC machines out of 5000 machines to 32 countries.
